5.0 out of 5 stars. Snazzy & warm & functional!

I just moved back to a colder clime, and my feet are always cold! I have lots of hiking boots and winter boots, but still my feet would get cold during the day as I was working in my studio. And when I would go snowshoeing, my hiking boots were the weak point in my gear, as my feet would be freezing from the get-go. So, I ordered these beauties, and I am so glad that I did! They keep my feet warm in the studio, and they are the perfect things to strap into my snow shoes. They are also taller than most hiking boots, so gaitors are not as necessary, and you will notice additional ankle support. They are pretty burly post-holers, too. And, I think they are super cute! I really love them and am so glad that I got them!
They fit true to size.

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Weird sole/pronation
Reviewed by Sarah from Salt Lake City on Sunday, November 18, 2018
I put them on and the the left shoe pinched the top of my foot between the first and second lace (above the arch of my foot). When standing in them, the outside of the sole seemed higher, making my foot pronate. There was a lot of play in the heel for me when walking. I usually wear between and 8.5 and 9 and bought and 8.5 I felt overall the length of the fit was good, and they were generally comfortable, but am returning them. Usually keens fit well, but I feel if I'm going to buy a good winter boot, I want one that works for my foot and won't affect my natural posture. If I wanted a shoe just for around town in winter and little mileage, they might work. But I don't want to chance it for serious terrain

So last year I bought kamik brand shoes for about 100.00
While they were waterproof at first and very warm
But quality lasted maybe half a season they are full of holes and am very disappointed
But let me tell you, as soon as I get these I knew that this is real USA quality!
Yes they are pretty narrow I would size up a half size, going a full size makes the heel to big. I own plenty of keen brand shoes, my regular hiking shoes are 6.5, sandels-6 and with these I ordered a 7. The day I got them we got hit with a slushy winter storm and my feet were warm dry all day! They also have the type of lacing clasps' that are on most hiking shoes, on the calf. Makes it so easy to take on and off. Personally I don't preffer zippers. I highly suggest this product
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. I absolutely love my new Keen Durand Polar Snow Boots. The fit is perfect and they keep my feet warm, dry and with the leather, I have great support for the slippery winter conditions we have in New England.

I honestly highly recommend these boots for a good fit, warmth, support and they are a nice looking boot too!
(I did order a half size up, and did not have to but the extra wiggle room is nice for my thicker sox), great fit all around).
Great for the snow, ice, wet and cold conditions we get here in New England, and my first time out with them this past weekend up in the White Mountains, they showed their true grit by keeping me warm, dry and sure footed all weekend long. Love them.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Too small overall

I have owned quite a few Keen shoes and boots over the years, and they always fit my wide feet and are true to size, until now. These boots run very small. When I tried them on, my feet were going numb within a few minutes from the intense pressure on the sides. I considered exchanging for a half size or even full size up, but the issue was not room in the toe box--there was even a little space to spare--but the narrow width. And I was wearing relatively thin socks. Back they went. Pity, as they are gorgeous and seem to be typical Keen quality.

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
